Event Details: On Saturday December 21, 2019 at 7:30 pm at the River Run Centre, we are very pleased to welcome our new artistic director Charlene Pauls conducting her first Messiah with our choir! The Guelph Chamber Choir is once again joined by a fine selection of Canadian soloists and an orchestra of period instruments to perform this timeless work. A true Christmas tradition for many local families! Please join us.
This annual concert has continued to be a major success drawing near sold out audiences every year. Since 1999, concert master Joe Lanza has contracted many of the finest Canadian instrumentalists who play on instruments replicating those of the Baroque era. Performing together with players knowledgeable in historically-informed performance practices over the past 20 years has been a very exciting journey for the members of the Guelph Chamber Choir and our audiences.
